Ramadan Companion

Deep in the interface phase. The calendar spine is working — the core problem (flexible date handling around moon sighting) is solved. The current challenge is the design: making something that feels calm and intentional, not like another productivity app with a crescent moon on it.

Operations in Kenya, ongoing. Health commerce in an emerging market moves differently than anything I do in tech. I'm learning the pace and building systems that match it.

This site

Just rebuilt — simpler, no database, no CMS. Markdown files and git push. Getting the writing habit established before adding anything else.

Thinking about

What it means to build with cultural intelligence, not just technical competence. Most tools for Muslim communities or African markets are built by people who did research. Mine are built from inside the experience. That gap matters more than I used to think.

Distribution. The work is the easy part. Getting the right people to see it — without gaming algorithms or compromising the work to fit the format — is the harder problem.
